Free Audiobooks

Let’s say you’re a mom, and you do a lot of housework… and let’s say you spend that time with a wandering mind, because you don’t have anything worthwhile to think about. Well, what about listening to free audiobooks? (or podcasts, for that matter) You could use an MP3 player, or play the books on a laptop, or just use your regular computer.

Here are a bunch of sites that have free audiobooks that you can download:

Podiobooks – (400-something newer books)

BooksShouldBeFree – (classic books)

LibriVox – (volunteer-created collection of public domain books)

NewFiction – (new and newer stuff. Dramatized reading-style…)

ThoughtAudio – (classics, also with PDF text files)

I’m not usually one for audio-books (I can absorb things better if I read them), but out of curiosity I downloaded ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’ and am now enjoying it highly. Thanks for the links! :D
